Q + A (questions from Sinead)

1. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An astronaut. This is still my biggest dream. I don't know why I never followed through with this. I think it's one of those things where people think of it more as a childhood dream so I never really got the support from my family, friends or teachers to actually turn my dream into a reality. Looking back on it, I don't think I gave myself enough support either. I knew I desperately wanted to be an astronaut, but when it came time to go to university, I settled on being a lawyer instead. Now I'm no longer pursuing the law and my dream of one day going to space is still as alive as ever!

2. What is your most watched film?

Moulin Rouge. I absolutely love it. Plus I've been there, and that makes me love the film ever more.

3. Where is your favourite place you've ever visited?

I don't know if I can choose. I've been to so many places and I love them all. I lived in Sheffield, England for two years so that would definitely have to be a favourite. Also Peniche, Portugal where I learned to surf. And Nice, France is simply beautiful.

4. What was the last book you read?

Currently reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. If you haven't watched the movie, go do that right now! It's my favourite movie (after Moulin Rouge of course).

5. Who is your current favourite blogger?

I have a few blogs that I check fairly regularly. I'm not sure I can pick one favourite so I'll give you three: BLDG 25 - Free People, Sara Libby and Ready Gypset Go.

6. Which do you prefer, cats or dogs?

Dogs all the way. I'm allergic to cats. Actually I'm allergic to dogs too but I've always had one so I'm used to them. I have a six year old Springer Spaniel named Belle. Fun Fact: Since my dad was a child, and all through my life, my family has only had Springer Spaniels and they've all been named Belle.

7. What were your New Years Resolutions, if any, and have you stuck to them?

This year I decided to set Intentions for myself instead of Resolutions. Intentions are more about embracing who you are on the inside and becoming more self-aware. They involve figuring out what your values are and then putting those values into actions.

I actually wrote a whole blog post on this which you can read here. Achieving my Intentions will take a lot of time and energy but I'm happy to say that after one month of practicing them, I'm well on my way to living a happier life.

Some of my 2015 Intentions are:

// To allow myself space and time for creativity.
